The former first deputy, who notes the recognized unsustainability of the building production objective set therein, certainly did not miss the point about the “unpleasant legacy” left, according to Philippe Aramendi, by Mayor Odile de Corallo’s team.
“For the record, the 2017-2020 roadmap drawn up by the prefect envisaged the production of 186 social housing units. We have delivered 116, and started the construction of 67. Not to mention the dozens of social housing units, BRS, at controlled prices or at market prices. Because social diversity is precisely this: welcoming all social categories”, he assumes “fully”.
“The point in 2029…”
“Since then, Philippe Aramendi has committed to building 325 social housing units in the period 2020-2022. Unable to deliver on its promise, it increased to 201 social housing units for 2023-2025, achieving the same result. Zero points,” he continues, noting that the deadline is therefore postponed again by three years.
“We will take stock in 2029”, he insists, trying to remember that the PLU adopted in 2019 opened up possibilities, but that these could not be realized due to the “ideological” choice of the current majority to limit itself only to the real estate sector programs in the field of public project management. During an evaluation of the first four-year mandate outlined two months ago his group called it “an allergy to real estate developers.”
“If we have to talk about inheritance, I can assure you that in 2026 the deficit of social housing, but also that of a catastrophic financial balance, will at least lead to exemption from all inheritance taxes”, concludes Francis Gavilan.
