Air Algérie, and in addition to its offers and its generous in-flight meals, is trying to attract some of the wealthier customers by offering them more comfort at airports.
On his TikTok channel followed by almost 15,000 subscribers, a traveler who booked with Air Algérie in Business class indicates that his ticket gave him access to the national airline’s lounge at Algiers airport. He didn’t miss the opportunity to film this VIP location.
It indicates that the lounge in question is located in the international zone and that it offers passengers a rest area and a place where they can eat completely free of charge, including pretzels and cakes offered by the national company.
Air Algérie Lounge at Algiers airport: a rest area and an all-you-can-eat buffet
The internet user first films a large room where several armchairs are arranged, creating a comfortable atmosphere where travelers can relax and chat while waiting for their flight to arrive. We can also see that the chairs placed in this room overlook an aerial view of the airport grounds.
The traveler then heads to the buffet, pointing out that the concept of this lounge allows you to “eat and drink freely.” It also takes all types of cakes, pastries, savory foods, but also water, soft drinks, coffee, juices and fresh fruit.
To prevent its users from forgetting its comfort, the Air Algérie lounge at Algiers airport has a board that allows travelers to monitor flight times.
Air Alger Lounge at Algiers airport: “It’s not enough”
Although the Internet user found that the place is synonymous with “development and prosperity”, the lounge Air Algeria received several criticisms in the comments of this video.
“It’s not enough! We need to make more efforts and offer more services! Their coffee is not good and they don’t even offer cans of soda but only one-liter bottles”, complains a first internet user
“If you want to see a real lounge, go to the Turkish Airlines or Emirates ones, the Air Algérie lounge looks like a Moorish café in comparison,” says another. “It doesn’t offer anything special and what’s more it closes at one in the morning,” denounces a final commentator.
