A bit of history: the birth and rebirth of the Eastern Park
Born at the beginning of the 20th century under the leadership of Alexandre Marcel, the Oriental Park experienced a rebirth in 1980 after years of abandonment. This transformative, pedestrian garden inspired by the Edo period is now the largest Japanese garden in Europe.
Visiting the Park: a walk full of discoveries
The park is open every day from March 15 to November 15 for a free walk. There you will find information desks on the history of the garden and its symbols, as well as labels indicating the plant species present. On Sundays and public holidays a guided tour is also offered at 2.30pm to further immerse you in the Asian world.
